Chanel Hydramax + Active Nutrition- Nourishing Cream for Dry Skin Review

There's always been a certain allure to the Chanel name and after a visit to Hong Kong this summer, I finally understood its timeless appeal. I've always had very dry skin, and have been on the hunt for a good moisturizer for a while. It wasn't until I was in a Chanel beauty boutique shopping for the fall nail varnishes (more on this in another post) that I was introduced to a cream for very dry skin. Under the Hydramax + Active Nutrition line, the "Nourishing Cream for Dry Skin" sample I was given left my skin supremely soft the next morning after applying it at night.  The cream itself is relatively light considering its purpose. When a cream promises to nourish dry skin, the texture is usually incredibly rich and heavy, but this was surprisingly light. The scent was something else that I fell in love with- it smelled like a combination of peaches enveloped in a mountain spring mist. The good thing about the application is that a small spatula is provided to ensure sanitary usage. After a few weeks of usage, I haven't been able to see traces of my old dry skin anymore, and that's good enough for me.

And it begins...

I first met Ashley when she brought a bottle of Febreeze to my room while we were both living in one of McGill University's student residences. Little did I know that this initial cleaning product to stem the smell of cigarettes in the carpets would lead to a relationship that extended far beyond the rank smell of air freshener.

We eventually became steady friends and realized our mutual appreciation for the quest of idealism - idealism in spirit, idealism in practice, and idealism in form. Of course, the latter can be interpreted in several different ways, but we realized that there were certain practices leading to a pleasing aesthetic. Now if you have been following up to here, I applaud you. What we intend to start is a blog dedicated to the superficial joys of life that lead to deeper fulfillment. Before we are run away with our philosophical discussion, let us briefly introduce ourselves.
Ashley is a 21 year old student striving towards medical school with an interest in photography, fashion, makeup, and global politics. One day, she would like to travel to The Maldives and share her travel adventures with all of you.
I am 20 years old with the soul of a child. I'm currently studying Anthropology and my hobbies include enjoying culinary porn, reading, taking care of animals, working out (to burn off the calories from all that eating), and appreciation of all things beautiful. Oh, haven't I mentioned my name yet? I'm Anthony. Nice to meet you!
