There's always been a certain allure to the Chanel name and after a visit to Hong Kong this summer, I finally understood its timeless appeal. I've always had very dry skin, and have been on the hunt for a good moisturizer for a while. It wasn't until I was in a Chanel beauty boutique shopping for the fall nail varnishes (more on this in another post) that I was introduced to a cream for very dry skin. Under the Hydramax + Active Nutrition line, the "Nourishing Cream for Dry Skin" sample I was given left my skin supremely soft the next morning after applying it at night. The cream itself is relatively light considering its purpose. When a cream promises to nourish dry skin, the texture is usually incredibly rich and heavy, but this was surprisingly light. The scent was something else that I fell in love with- it smelled like a combination of peaches enveloped in a mountain spring mist. The good thing about the application is that a small spatula is provided to ensure sanitary usage. After a few weeks of usage, I haven't been able to see traces of my old dry skin anymore, and that's good enough for me.
